Paintballers let loose on poachers
" Game poachers in Poortview will have watch thier step unless they want to sport the colours of the rainbow.
If jannie Rykaart of Protea Eco Adventures in Robert Bloom Drive puts his plan into practice, poachers could end 'highlighted' for all to see.
Rykaaart plans to give professional paintball players the freedom of his 90ha property at night to 'hunt' poachers
According to Rykaart, they hear gun shots, indicating that the poachers are hunting with proper guns.
"We had quite a herd of Rhebuck and also some saddle backed jackel, but our game has been relentlessly poached".
"We will get paintball players to come and play at night
We tell them:' OK, nobody is supposed to be in this area at night. If you do find a guy, let him have it!"


anyone fancy taking on some armed African poachers at night in the middle of the veldt?

Its South Africa matey...you just send people out there to play paintball..with rifles as well...and shoot the damn poacher first!!

I imagine that you could get any Taxidermy done, for "Trophy Heads", if you so wished...the landowner may want to keep the "meat", possibly hang it from a tree, to ward off further poachers.

You may find, that smaller poachers would be free, or you get a higher quota, compared to larger, or more prizeworthy ones.

Would be a talking point certainly...

"This is a Red Dear head, that I shot in Scotland...here is a Wild Boar, shot in France...over here is a Black bear from Canada...thats a Poacher from South Africa...this a Fox, from Perthshire...this is a Duck, that didnt..."

Etc.

Ahh...well, in that case, you are forgiven, as I am sure you wanted to get it typed out in double quick time, I would not expect a journalist, to allow such mistakes to make it to the Editor, much less to print.
