don't waste your money on the cheap stuff at the start you will only regret it. if you plan to play tourney ball go and get competitive equipment from the start.

go to as many training days as you can afford and the most important thing is

HAVE FUN!!!!!!

Big tip for ya

Don't waste all your money on all the brand new gear at first. Use your money to go and play at a walk on or something. By doing that your getting good practice and then you can join a decent team. If its a good team they'll probably be sponsered and get all your stuff for dead cheap or even free!

there you go!

Don't get their hopes up mate! It's very hard to get sponshorship to the point where companies will give you equipment. It's best to get good equipment now and be the best you can, though don't fork it all out and then not be able to play :)

I'd say get yourself a competitive equipment set up, and practice as much as you can. Meet and tell people who are into paintball what you plan to do as they may be able to help you out. Think about what happened that got you shot out and make sure next time it doesn't happen.
Never think you're the best.

that's just a few thinkgs i've picked up from the people who know...

and of course, like everyone else has said, get decent kit for a good price and practice like hell. ;)
Agreed, but as long as you can play as tight as hell neway then both handed playing is not the thing i would start off with.

most all really is to have a great time with your mates

oh and good tip: on a breakout, dont fall flat on your face, like tom:

hehe had to do it.
:p

TIP

if you buy second hand kit make sure its from a seller who has good feed back from people so you dont get faulty gear or ripped off .
