Paintball sites! Problems!!!!

NiceButDim

S**t Happens!!
Ello people I thought I should just mention the fact that I was at the paintball site that I go to quite a lot and I was talking away to the manager of the site. he was wanting me and my team to give suggestions of what he could do to the site to make it more lively and fun for people!

he mentioned that the previouse week they had a bunch of policemen in and one of them suggested that they could have a backpack and they could have it so someone runs in presses the button on the pack and a load of paint comes out! yep u guessed it Suicide bommer!!! ok some of you may know where Im getting to already!

Well the manager thought it would have been a great idea to try it untill I gave my word!

What I thought was that some people may get the wrong impression and thing that paintball sites are turing in to terrist training camps :p ................ yes it may seem funny but think about it for a bit!
Well basicly with all thats been going on in the world paintball sites will have to be careful due to the fact they want it to be fun and exciting but they dont want to be closed down due to the fact some idiot gets the wrong idea.

I know we are trying to become a recognised sport but you have to remember most people start off at a paintball sites which act on the style of war!!!!

does anyone see what I am getting at?

I aint to sure if I have phrased it properly!???
auch well Im open to be flamed :D ;)

I understood it ok.

I share your views. A suicide Bomber is a funny idea, but your right. A lot of people already have the wrong idea about paintball, thinking its just for a load of skinheads who are training their own militia.

Well, i don't see that this idea would really help get the true nature of the sport across.

dont get me wrong but are you not talking about the same sites that have games such as running around the wood playing around helicopters, assassinating presedents, attacking villeges, layin seige to a fort or attacking a bridge etc???

none of this is the true nature of the sport. it doesnt matter what sort of "war" games you play at sites its the image of the tournament scene that will effect how popular our sport becomes. so as long as no one breaks out to the fifty wearing aload of paintball greanades i think we are in no danger of giving people the wrong impression;)

My local site runs the customer days in a tournament format on woodland and sup'air. To make it exciting tournament points sytems are used and this creates competition. Now the same groups come back once every two months or so to try and beat each other.
It has also led to the site owner setting up a local 5-man tournament that has now seen ten teams set up to play them just from our city for the players that wanted to take it further and three of the teams will be playing other tourneys now like series2k4 and UKmasters along with the main team from the city the Kamikazzees. And we are a small city 60 miles from Newcastle, 120 miles from Manchester and 100 miles from Glasgow so there are not any large populations close to us.

So you don't need to have all these scenario games all the time they are fun from time to time but they don't really grow the sport you may get 1 player that wants to take it further out of every 30-50 people you have on site but you can get 5 out of 30-50 if you show them the real sport and its competitiveness.
