Paintball Scene - Bristol

Hi

Does anyone know if there are any active teams or training sites in and around Bristol ?

I played paintball actively about 8-10 years ago and at that time the scene in Bristol was thriving, there were plenty of teams around and training sites.

I believe there are currently around 5 "punter" paintball sites in the Bristol area but the tournament/team scene seems to have completely died off. When I was playing many of these sites had their own tournament team. Paintball seems to have gone completely "Retail".

I've heard UCZ mentioned a lot in newton abbot but that is a 1.5hr drive away

Surely there must be something more local ?

There was an indoor site called "Showtime" that had sup air, run by Steve Sheppard, is he still around?

I've also heard "jock" at skirmish bristol mentioned a few times, does he run things for competitive play?

Any help gratefully recieved ! It would be good to find some local action.

Showtime is long gone.

Jock is still around and is developing a site up near Cribbs but it is more urban paintball than supair as far as I know. Give him a call to more info. The site is Skirmish portishead but the number you call is in weston super mare.

John, where do you play? Do you have a team you play for?

Wish someone would buy a Sup Air site and set one up in Bristol.

I think there is one for sale on the NSPL site, £2350 or thereabouts......

Would be nice to see some support for tournament ball in the area.

To be honest I cannot remember the last time I played supair near Bristol. Normally at least 90mins to a site by car and often more like 3-4 hours.

Approach Jock he might be up for arranging something, even if he just gave you somewhere to put a privately owned supair site and maybe access to a compressor.
