Hallo, I was thinking about getting a camera for taking mainly paintball shots. Just wondering if you photographers out there could give me any good names/models to look for. I have a smallish budget but that can change depending on the items ;)

well if you want a Entry level Digital SLR, go for either a Nikon D50 or Cannon 350D. there about the cheapest Digi SLR's out atm (that are anygood). but they will still set you back about £300.

as ray says, buy the best you can.

Any camera you get, will need to have a removable lense, so you can put a longer focal length lense on, as the 18-50mm lense's that come with them, arent really up to the Job.

Get yourself a Nikon D50 body, and buy the best lense you can afford.

Most of the DSLR's will have a 'sport' mode on them which will sort out the apature, shutter speed, iso and other bits for fast shooting. The main thing will be to have a lens that focuses quickly. I've got a sigma 70-300mm lens but because it wasn't loads of money it takes time for the motors to focus it.

Personally I'd see if you could get an older Canon 20D or newer 30D, but it's all up to the user. The Canon 350D will be cheap as it's been replaced by the 400D now, though both are very very small and I personally don't like them.

All you need to do then is practice! Think wisely and read lots of reviews/post on forums before buying as it's a lot of money. Don't spend all your money on the body when the lens is equally as important.
