just watchin bbc three, 'this is dom joly'. typical little sketch showed him as a stag do at a paintball site being shown the safety aspects on the game. not exactly much, but were obviously getting better known.
nothing really bad about this bit either, the guy goes on about when an where to use a marker, and about putting the safety on.

shame about the show, its a bit naff, and i really liked trigger happy tv, thought this would be decent, but noooooo

So basically, paintball has been defiled by yet another ignorant media source? I'd rather see paintball not on TV at all than see it in the way the uneducated media portrays it.

Hey guys, films all the time have people being beat up with baseball bats, shot with guns, etc etc. Chill.

Anybody with half a brain (which most people in power have) will not be swayed hugely by comedy TV shows. Sure, the odd ignorant mom or dad who didnt take GCSE's might think that you play paintball without a mask and therefore its dangerous, but who cares? No harm done IMO.

there must be SOMEONE in the media who is willing to give pb a positive light instead of making us look like a pile of gun toteing nutters!

I suppose that little old paintball is a bit vulnerable, since its not backed up by hundreds of thousands of people and whatnot, but I wouldnt worry too much - There are no lynch mobs out to "get us" yet, and if they do come (like they tried in Germany), just spend a few hours writing a nice articulate letter to your MP and if any more than 5 or 6 people nationwide do this all will be well (democracy is great!).
