Paintball marker FPS

hey people.
just a quick question.
what is the lowest you can safely have a marker set ?
i know sites use 280fps if im right. but can they go any lower?

You can turn it down as you wish - but anything below 200 probably won't go far

250fps is common for indoors, CQB, night etc

Saying that, if it's a mechanical blowback gun if you turn it down too far it will stop recocking as the hammer will have less momentum and open the valve less.
