I wanted to add my Paintball team onto Friend's Reunited but Paintball isn't listed as a sport on the Sports Team section.

I emailed them and got this reply:

"Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

We have made a note of your suggestion for a new 'Team/ Club/ Association' category and, if we receive enough similar requests over the next few weeks, this may be added to the site. Unfortunately, it is not going to be possible to advise you if it will be added but please look at the 'Find Teams/ Clubs' area from time to time to check for new categories.

Regards

Alex"

Seems like if enough people email and ask for Paintball to be added as a sport, it will get added.

Ok...go on then...you know what to do :p :D

it is only friends re united. :) if you want paintball to be recognised. make it big in the public eye. not on the website. organise a few games to be played on the local fields or something. take over the local foot ball field etc... but clean up afterwards and dont screw up their pitch. but just do it to not to p**s them off and to give them something new to watch. its what im trying to do. :)

Why freinds reunited anyway ? to meet people you used to go to school with..when I meet people I used to go to school with (when I dont see them coming and miss my oppertunity to cross the road) and they say ..hey man I haven't seen you in ****in ages ..its like ..yeh, there's a reason for that...

anyway cynicism over ..paintball's not a sport ..everyone says so ..but good luck anyway

"if you want paintball to be recognised. make it big in the public eye"

The ony way to make it big in the public eye is to get the public to actually see that it is going on/exists. Word of mouth is the best advertisement you can get. And let's face it most of the public don't even know it exists outside of Stag weekends and business team building excercises.

If people are so apathetic/can't be arsed regarding their sport, it's no wonder it still isn't recognised.

Even people on Dart's and crochet teams managed to get off their arses and get their sports listed on FR.

I obviously expected a bit too much of people who dress up and play soldiers in the woods at weekends  :p :D
