Paintball Association League Info

Ladies & Gents,

We are now geting very close to the deadline and a lot of people have called in the last few days to ask if it's closed.

the answer is not yet...but very soon. The divisions need to be finalised and all the admin for photo ID cards and the Fantasy Paintball TM needs to be sorted out as people are already asking for entry forms.

All those who have enquired & booked should receive directions for the Managers Conference in the post today.

If you're thinking of playing this series then realisticallly you need to call Gillie NO LATER than this Thursday 29/01/04 to discuss your team roster.

All the impotrant stuff and details will be announced to the team managers and assistant managers at the one day conference on Feb. 01st.

In the West Midlands somewhere, exact location hopefully to be revealed on Sunday at the Manager's Meeting. Even I don't know yet, & I'm working at all the PA events! But hopefully "West Midlands" is enough info for you to make your decision.

You also need to bear in mind what type of tournament series your team wants to play. I gather from your abortive posting in the Rec forum that the Dartford 7's is your other possible choice. As I'm involved with both I can't really advise you about either, so I suggest you give Gillie a call & ask her for some more details about the PA Series to see if that will suit you, and Keiran regarding the D7's.

"Stalker"? Could get into trouble for that :)

Not being funny but if you want to play a national series then you really kind of expect to have to travel some....the Scottish teams think nothing of driving 6 hours to an event...for most teams even 2 to 3 hours is acceptable.

Registered PA Team managers will find out on Sunday where the venue is, but yes it is in the West Midlands...simply because that's as close as we could get to the centre of the country....

Not having a pop at you here but if travelling is an issue then I'd strongly recommend that you stick to regional events in your area...if some of the team aren't happy with travelling or simply find it difficult it will cause problems...

The D7's is probably the best in the SE this year and if it's on your doorstep so much the better.

Just do what we did, last year.
Drive up the night before, pitch a tent, drink STUPID amounts of alchol, freeze for 6 hours in a tent that you thought was weather proof, and then play with a hangover the next day.
Aaaaaaahhh, the fun of paintball.

SO looking forward to this one, guys and girls.:D

Now there's a man with a plan!!

Damn I must be getting soft in my old age, there was me planning on booking a room for the night.

I'll have to stock up on the cheap beers to take with me and see if my battered old tent and sleeping bag are still habbitable.

last time I camped at a sup'air field, me and my team wished we had brought canoes. But the thought of drinking myself stupid the night before brings back good memories of past tournaments.

Anyone else gonna be camping the night there?
could be a good excuse for a players party!!!
