My Uni team are planning to sign a tomahawk deal with WDP, i found that my dye excel barrel was breaking a lot of paint when i shot towahawk classic at the starwars game. Is tomahawk quiet a large ball?
I don't know what bore the barrel is as it came with my marker (2nd hand) if i was to get a new barrel what bore would you recomend for tomahawk?

Cheers:)

It soulds like your paint was in a bad state, and this would of caused it to break if it had swelled badly due to it not fitting down the barrel.

Too see what bore your barrel is take afew paintball (round ones ;)) and test you barrel agenst a multi bore kit and at least this will give you a vag idea or what bore size your barrel is

Steve,

I too have an Excel and I can't use it for any paint we use regularly. As far as I can ascertain from various sources, the Excel bore size is .688

Compare this with various paintball sizes here:

I use Zap Primer for practice and that stuff seems so variable that while it seems to fit nicely in the .691 back of my new Empire barrels, the damn stuff breaks constantly. I find that some of the Primer balls are elongated and break easily.

My ony other barrel is a .692 on my backup marker and fires most stuff a treat.

I'd go with bunker monkey's suggestion and get a kit. However, choose carefully as if I were to choose again I'd go for something that went bigger than a .691 - Empire do do a .693 in their 11 piece kit (£150) so I might see if I can buy one of those singly to add to my kit.

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
I was shooting tomahawk classic at a walkon this sunday. Found it ran really well through my ultralight .688 bore.

Also ran it through my freak with a .691 insert on my impulse without drama. Seems that the odd ball is a little larger than the rest. Tomahawk is a medium to large size ball, certainly much larger than Draxxus.
