public places

I understand the danger of shooting a marker in open, public places but is it ok to shoot one in your garden? Apart from the possibility of the old lady next door complaining of the noise, I thought it was ok as long as I wore my mask.

Since P'ball Markers are classified as Airguns under the 1997 Amendment to the Firearms Act (1968) it is perfectly legal to fire them within the bounds of your own property as long as your neighbours do not complain about the noise

Firing markers outside your own property is a violation of the Public Order Act and carries a quite heavy penalty (possible prison time)

And what's worse ...

they can take your marker off you.
My mate had the SWAT team round his house ! There were reports of him shooting a 'gun' in his back yard. They put him in prison for one day and kept his marker for a week !

At least...

You didn't accidentally shoot the inside wall of your flat!

Luckily, I was using marbalizer and after it dried out we found out that it glows really well under UV. I now have a plan for the decorating of my mixing room (Loads of UV stuff, turntables etc) that involves two markers, four sorts of paint, a tarpaulin and a fan heater.

With any luck, the room will turn out looking quite nice. On the other hand, it could end up looking like several babies have been sick everywhere after eating road marking paint.

I might have to practice on the shed first.
