dude seems that 6 boxes is the norm, personally outkasts use about 8/9 boxes @ 5 man unlimited..

one thing that is important is that if you want to acheive you need to have the right tools for the job..
dont be frighten to shoot alot of paint and dont hold back becuase of you dont want to have to buy another box

most of all try all the brands and see which one suits ya best

And split the paint bill evenly, otherwise the back men have got to be over cautious as they are counting the pennies. Remember, it's them that let the front men do their thing. No fun playing back if your paying for all nine pots each game. (I know most teams do this, but maybe not a new squad).

paintballs and the cold

try and get some thermal boxes if you are taking your own paint, as adverse temps can make the balls brittle and are prone to bursting in your barrel, we constructed some from 1" polystyrene, which you can buy from b&q get the foil lined stuff, keep the paint in room temp for a day and take to the tournies in the box or heater bag, keep the lid on and dont expose the paint to the atmosphere for too long, if potted keep the post warm also,
if your paintballs are dimpled there useless, and will not be very accurate. or if you are buying from the venue make sure they are supplying warm paint.

Very true. I was practicing with some badly stored paint and I found that I could shoot round corners. Which is a bad thing when you're trying to shoot staight

Funny that, cos when i played my first tourney i seen a guy go into a bunker, and i could see practically 2mm worth of his arm. He sat tight, and i was using some real crap paint and a badly matched barrel :D :D.

Anyways, i kept shooting, seeing the paint fly straight then wang left and all over the place. I put down about 5 shots at 1 ball per second and the 5th one curved round the barricade and hit the guy... supa dupa. Cos by then, we was causing some real trouble on the tape, and him leavin the field opened the game for us! :D

Gimme all the crap paint guys, i will get the players you cant see! :D :D
