or just buy paintballs that come in the size of your barrel. the bore size of the barrel should have been advertised when you bought it and paint says the bore size on the box, if you don't know what bore size your barrel is then get a shop to gove you a ball in each bore size (most shops will do this if you buy a case of paint afterwards) and blow them through your barrel, if it rolls through, too small, if it won't budge without physical help, to big
. if it blows through, then it fits just right.

hope it helps

In theory ALL paint is .68 in size. Unfortunately, you will get a variation in sizes even between different batches of the same paint - we used to always use the same paint & I've had to change Freak inserts part way through a tournament before when we opened a new box of a different batch/colour. I tend to use the .687 and .689 the most (round the middle of the available inserts).
So if you are taking your paintball seriously, you really should think about a variable-bore barrel like a Freak or Sceptre, or owning a range of barrels with slightly different bores. If in doubt however (and too broke to buy a system/lots of barrels), you should go for a large bore barrel. Though you will lose velocity consistency and air efficiency, at least you won't get the constant breaks or a clogged up barrel as you would if the barrel is too small.
