whats the situation on team tops with padding for next season?

i heard they were banning tops with padding from a few people, this true?

cuz we have 04 dye proto tops with padding on the forearms and my team are a bunch of cheap gits and wont pay up for the new 05 gear....jus just the padding out if we have to?

Depends which series you are talking about.

To my knowledge no tops have been banned in the UK but you will not be allowed to wear and ancillary padding in conjunction with the padded areas, ie., no forearm protectors under your padded tops forearm/elbow pad.

However, clear hoppers are no longer allowed so you can either paint them or buy a smoked or solid colour shell.
