I have had a PM about a KOTH (king of the hill for new teams) division and I thought I would post my reply on here so everyone will understand my viewpoint.
One of the many reasons myself along with JCS are doing this is to try and help tournament paintball and the teams that play it.
No team will ever get better when they only play against teams of an equal ability they just learn enough to beat what is in front of them.
Teams need to stretch themselves or stand still.
At the same time cost is undoubtedly a factor when new teams start out and I fully understand that, but this game costs money to play and reducing the cost to play is unfortunately not going to happen for all but the very few, playing better teams does not necessarily cost you more.
The clear answer to me is - reduce the number of tournaments you commit yourselves to play so the ones you do play you can enjoy without worrying about money.
This new collaboration is gearing itself up to offer every player the opportunity to excel themselves as much as they wish with cheap organised training days for people who know how to pass on the skills they acquired the hard way.
We intend to give you a great day with teams of varying ability's playing against every other team within each division.
So you may not go home with a trophy, you may not go home with any prizes, you may not even go home with any cash left! but we will make sure you will go home knowing you have had a great days paintball and took another step up the ladder.
