PA League - Fantasy Paintball™
AS Gillie gets all official and serious about these things and the phone hasn't stopped ringing since we announced it I thought I'd just pop a quick, informal note in announcements.
FANTASY PAINTBALL™is here!
Basically the idea is the same as for any other fantasy sport...A Fantasy Manager™ will be able to pick a squad of seven players from the published list. Each player has a cash value and managers have up to 50 million quid to spend on their "Dream Team"
A team must consist of of 7 players with a maximum of three of in any one of the three available positions, Back, Mid & Front. It will be possible to make transfers during the season and there is a monthly prize for the "Manager of the Month". Manager of the series will win a minimum of 500 quid in cash.
Highest scoring player in each category will also win a prize at the end of the season.
We're working on the online registration now but the list of players, their positions, teams, value and "skill rating" will be published on the PA's web site after next weekend and in the Jan. issue of the PA's magazine. Fantasy managers will be able to register their teams from Feb 01st onwards.
If you're wondering how we can do this it's actually quite simple. Well it is for us at any rate Without going into the mechanics it basically comes down to the way the the PA events are set up, organised and run...and in no small part the people we have doing it.
Once again the PA takes another intuitive leap forward to promote paintball to the masses and make stars out of our own people...and there's more to come. It just gets better & better
