PA Cup 2005 Entry Now Open
The National Paintball Centre, Ancaster NG32 3PY
1st/2nd October 2005
Refereed by the PA Referees
The Paintball Association is now taking entries for the PA Cup 2005. This is the third year of the competition and the current champions, the Manc Union will be back to defend their title. The format of the event is "FA Cup" style pure random draw with each team playing 14 qualifying games across the two days, plus finals for the top 8 qualifying teams. A live draw will take place before the event and, since there is no seeding, there is no opportunity for sand-bagging and every team has an equal chance of qualifying. The PA Cup will take the traditional 7-man format with usual PA rules and regulations enforced. There are prize packages for the top 8 qualifying teams with the PA Cup going to the overall winners after a knockout round of finals. The Cup Champions look after the Cup for a year and are then invited back to defend it. If the Manc Union win for the third time in a row, the Cup gets to stay in Manchester!
NEW for 2005 is the PA Shield: this is a 5-man version of the competition which will again take the form of a random draw with each 5-man team playing 10 qualifying games across the weekend, plus finals and prize packages for the top 8 qualifying teams.
Entry Fees:
PA Cup 7-man: £450 (£400 for PA League teams)
PA Shield 5-man: £325
Please call the PA on 0870 777 6493 for details or go to the PA forums to download an entry form.
