I agree:D I fell in love with the chick at the Facefull booth:rolleyes:

As for the tournament, we've ****ed up so bad that I am ashamed to be a captain of my team, I hope we can bounce back and get better results. But I think we are very popular right now as we made a lot of teams happy which were going home without a win and we didn't want that.

Overall, Toulouse again proved to bet the best pball event in the world. Aside of our miserable performence, everything was great, fields, organization, fruit baskets, girls, food, fun...you name it.

Everybody we have met and talked was extermely friendly and helpful, thanks to all team members, refs and organizational staff...

However, there were some things I didn't like.... First of all the prices of pball equipment sold at the stands were extermely high, much higher than where you can buy at pball stores or internet. In the past we used find pball gear at much lower cost at these major tournaments  Well, not anymore ...Vendors see the increased demand and number of teams as an opportunity to make some more money, I guess

Not a very critical complaint and definetely not an excuse for our losses, but reffing was not very standart and constant at all fields. At some fields you could get away with some warnings and on other fields everyting runs strictly by the book and you get penalized harshly fore the same actions. Also there were not so many and strict during-game chrono checks but in one field we all have been checked at least once during a game and the refs finally were able to find two hot guns:confused: I am not saying that the reffing was unfair but it was lacking consistency in making calls and penalties.

But, once again it was a very good tournament....:)

Rumor has it that

Robo shot J-Lo out 10 seconds into tha Adrenalin-Backlash game...care to comment Mr Owen?

Also that Robo ended up playing on tha 50 and took 3 Camp Tigers out from there, and bunkered a guy in another game...shurely shome mishtake?

peace

Hi Murat, I can promise you that everything at the Smart Parts stand was sold well below the usual retail price, mostly round about 15-20% as far as I can remember. I know loads of players who bring a big shopping list to the Millennium events 'cause they know they can get stuff cheaper there (from SP anyway).

Hi Liz,

You maybe right, I shouldn't generalize all vendors and I haven't checked prices at SP booth. But I know that Phil has been always good and fair to us all these years. I do not want to name the sellers but it is true that most of them were charging exteremely high and were taking advantage of the higher demand.

For us Dutchies it's even worse! We take huge shopping lists, not only because we can get the stuff at a discount at events, but because we can finally get stuff!!! Too few distributors in this country if you ask me...

Try living in New Zealand .... when I got past Toulouse in 2000 (on holiday with the wife) I just about cried at the trade show (I think my lovely lady knew what would happen - she took my credit card off me before we left the hotel  )

Yep I can comment on this, but it'll be in PGI so you'll have to wait 'til the Toulouse issue to come out before you see it. Sorry, my friend.

It too, will be in my article but as a little taster I have to say, 'Justin Owen was easier to take out than a two bit hooker'.
Can't say much more than that at the moment and I look forward to reading J-Lo's account (more like work of fiction) in the up and coming PGI :)
