P/Ball Stats

I did a search but couldnt see anything.

I recall seeing a while back how paintball has taken over from snowboarding in the extreme sports league table. I am intrigued if anyone can provide me with that information again as I have been asked to go on a radio show here in Ireland to talk about it and I would like to throw in some facts & figures where possible.

If anyone has any other (factual) data with references I can use then I would be grateful.

paintball is one of the safest sport around. Only 0.2 injuries in 1000. Football is 3.8.

This is all excellent stuff. Sorry if this is seen as a thread jack - because it isn't intended as such.

I am also after ANY stats, videos, radio interviews () from the 'UK scene' to put in to a pack to send prospective youth tournament sponsors. The more stuff you can get to me, the more ammunition (no pun intended) I have to sway them to our way of thinking .

I am especially interested in things from the under-18's perspective (what it's like to play, what your parents think, how you pay for it etc.).

Don't forget to send copies of all your stuff to Mike for his radio interview .

the american sports association has a load of stats about extreme sports inc paintball which are a) true b) unbiased and c) can actually be used.

Raff i'll have a dig around and see what i can come up with. I did that project at uni which may have some useful stuff in it which could help you out. PM me in a day or two if i haven't got back to you.

The interview has been rescheduled to 5 Sept which means I have more time to prepare this guy to our cause!!

About the saftey aspect.

The stat's show it's safer than golf.
Reason being... There are a lot more golf players, than there are paintballers.
