Yup, indeed i do! P-Ball is a new format. It only costs £1 to enter a tourney and all proceeds go to charity. It can be played in teams or as a 1 on 1 event. There is no velocity limit and full auto or burst modes are permitted. Because of the nature of the ball used it is not necessary to wear goggles as injury in a game of P-Ball is extremely rare. It is played in a small arena and games are usually fast and furious. When Game-Over is called, the time taken to complete the objective is recorded by the Ultimate. The shortest time wins the event. Other than that, usual rules apply. ie players cannot move more than 6 feet away from their equipment apart from squeegies and rags used to clean their equipment... blah blah u know the rest....
Like the X-Ball format, P-Ball is very much a spectator sport. encouragement or heckling may be shouted from the sidelines, although it is recommended that spectators stand well back from the arena due to the staining effect of the players 'ammo' (god, i sound like a rec-baller). Guppy.

New concept

The concept sounds interesting and it is good that spectators can become involved by cheering the player/team. I think it will be an excellent addition to the evening entertainment.

Ignore him guys. This sad individual, who is 'too busy 'to attend the walk-on weekend is just trying to feel important by being involved in this discussion.
He isn't funny and he isn't clever and he won't be taking part in P-Ball, because he WON'T BE THERE! :D

P-Ball, contrary to TL's beliefs, is indeed a proper game which has already been played by respected paintball professionals such as John (JonBon) Bonich.

Yes, Bully it is an interesting new concept. The ball used for P-Ball is different to the standard .68 gelatin paintball we all know and love. P-Balls will be on sale at cost price at the StarWars event for anyone who would like to have a go. Thanks for your (sensible) input. It's good to have UKPSF interest this early in the sport.

Sorry Gups sweetie...but I absolutely can NOT agree with this description of John...not after what he did to me at Campaign and showed me the dark, seedy underbelly of paintball...took me ages to recover...still having nightmares now...

no, no, not the comfy chair....

Why have I started feeling queezy the more I think about what Gupster is describing here?...especially after I note a line in the other thread which is suspiciously omitted here..."played by men only"...why is that then?

Oh its quite innocent Hatts... I'm just trying to be 'politically correct' I did originally post ' men only' as it has been to date..... It can be played by women too but in a seperate event as we would have to set a lower chrony limit for us frail females!

P-ball

P-Ball is indeed very entertaining.
I have only seen it played by men and knowing the nature of the game i dont advise any woman to try competing. I think it would become very nasty.

My local pub has a p-ball outlet :D

P-Ball

I am sure we can arrange for a small trophy for this first p-ball tournament and I am sure the PBUK will cover the event.

We might be running a second leg at the over 35's and even an International leg at the Severe Belgium event in November.

Steve

P-ball coming to a safe area near you!!!! JonBon promotions:D
