There is a huge lack of walk-on days in the UK. There are loads of people with there own equipment that want to play against other like minded people but have very little choice of what or where. And that gets right on our nerves. We ran events at the Planet Eclipse On The Edge Events site all last year and this year will be the same, with the odd twist and turn there to keep it interesting.
To kick the season off we have decided to give you a change of venue and will be holding the first Walk-On day on Sunday 30th January at Marchbrook Leisure in Wrexham (Location Here: http://www.marchbrook.co.uk/LOCATION/location.html)
Some players haven’t even experienced the thrill and excitement of a walk-on day, 5-man Organised Chaos or the Tri-Team days (More info below) then at Planet we are going to make it easier and cheaper for you to venture into the realms of walk-on days. Every paintball marker purchased from today from Planet Eclipse (until further notice) will come with an OTE Walk-On voucher giving you FREE entrance fee to any of the OTE Walk-On days at the Congleton venue (Does not include Marchbrook I’m afraid)

So what are the walk-on days about?
On The Edge Events will operate 16 walk-ons during 2005. These are aimed at players who own there own Paintball equipment, looking for a more challenging game of paintball. To maintain variation, we alternate the events between regular walk-on scenarios, a 5-man team based format and a 3- team ‘big game’ scenario.
How Much Will It Cost?
Entrance Fee: £20 per person or (5-Man Team Entrance £75)

No problem this year hire kit is FREE! We now include hire kit in the price of walk-on entrance – HOWEVER, please be aware that it is limited in quantities and we need to know in advance your requirements.
Tea, Coffee, AIR and CO2 are included in the entrance fee. (Air if limited so if you have your own Scuba Tank please bring it along full)
How do we book-in?
It is important for us to know how many people to expect so we can organise staff, hire kit and other supplies, so please ring OTE on 0161 872 5572 or 0800 174 759.
A £10 per person deposit guarantees your place and pre-booking hire kit is ESSENTIAL!
All venues will be confirm nearer the dates, but the only one we have booked in that is not scheduled for Congleton, Cheshire (South Manchester) is the 30th January which is at Marchbrook near Wrexham.

So what are these formats all about?
Along with the regular ‘walk-ons’ (Two Big Teams playing various game scenarios). OTE will also be running these additional walk-on formats (Just to spice it up a little.
5-Man Organised Chaos
Formally known as the Bedlam events. The basic concept is a big game style-playing arena with multiple teams playing all at once in the same arena, against each other… thus Organised Chaos. It is a 5-man format with a maximum of 20 teams per event.
Each team will begin the game at various designated points spread around the field and will be in possession of a flag. The objectives are to eliminate other teams and ‘steal’* their flag (and any other flags they may have already collected).
Game times are 10 minutes and scores are collated during the course of the day, the winning team being the one with the highest total of ‘steals’.
Do I need a team?
NO – just turn up and we’ll make up the numbers.
Tri-Team Event
New for 2005, this will be a 3-team ‘big game’ style format. Played on 2 different arenas during the day. The basic concept is 3 big teams play against each other at the same time, starting at different areas of the field with the objective being to collect ‘flags’ from the opposing team base and the bonus flags from the centre of the field (20 minute games). An added twist – get eliminated in the first 10 minutes and you will be ‘reincarnated’!
Where will they be played?
We have linked the Village, Maize and Jungle fields to form the first arena to be played in the morning and the Bridge, Nest and Spaceship fields are used in the afternoon. Starting points for the 5-man Organised Chaos will be picked at random so teams will begin in different areas of the fields. There are 3 start points for the Tri-Team and teams will rotate between games.
