having probs with my valve housing

after o ring snapped on it had to replace it, cant get a seal and gas continually leaks down barrel

i think pushing the valve housing through the back is taking all the dow 33 off it and pushing the oring out of place, cant get the valve housing in the front as it cuts the orings

any suggestions?

thanks

Invid don't put valve in from the front m8 threads too aggresive & you will damage the 'o' ring ,remove the hammer/ram housing & put it in from the back m8.

sry m8 re-read your post & see thats what you already doing,I assume its the correct size o ring?would have thought that once it is in the body the o ring would be held in place, can you see into the locating/grub screw hole as to wether the o ring is still in place or not,you may have to push the block a little further down to check both.

yes been looking down the hole and the orings are in place, when it leaks i pull valve back out and they are still in place,

at the moment i assume orings must be wrong size, pulled orings from my old ram assembly and used them, they seemed to fit fine but alas leaking, well it must be the prob as they o rings are in place when it leaks

needing some spares anyway so will get them ordered

cheers

Are you sure you're putting the valve body back in the right way? It only works one way, if you've put it in back to front the valve stem won't seal against the wrong side of the valve. The end with the cone-shaped hole needs to be forwards.

Wouldn't feel too embarrassed, it's not immediately obvious which way it should go and the manual gives no indication at all.

no i've been putting valve in correct way :(

has to be oring size then, they seem to fit ok tho, the tightness is ok but they have a bit of slack in the width department, its the orings off an old impulse ram assembly
