Well my take on this is simple, Judging should be unbiased and fair, UK judging is good, look at Banzai, they are amazing refs, I think Blakey has the right idea with the paintball academy. What I will say is this, Refs are lacking balls, if you make a decision stand by it, don't let some twat make you question your ability and in the same breath if you make a mistake, then accept responsibility.

We played the Indoor recently and the Marshals were great, fair and unbiased. However they did make a few mistakes, however they were man enough to turn round and say yes, I made a mistake, which takes balls...hats off......

It's a bit like football, no one like the guy who pulls you out for what you think is spray but hey, **** happens.......

Marshalling Academy

Update,

Personally I do not think its a good idea for teams to marshall events, I think that the establishment of the Uk Marshalling Academy is the way forward, an independant body of officials, with no one team performing the marshalling duties.
We at the Midlands Masters are seeking to set that up, at present we have 16 marshals registered they have been involved in training with Marshals from Sad UK, and the UK Chameleons, a few of these guys are progressing very quickly.
It is our intention to work very closely with Steve Bull( UKPSF) to maintain the quality of the Academy once fully operational.
We are also setting basic rates of pay, travelling expenses, and overnight accomodation.
The response from the players has been very encouraging. We are hopoing by the years end to have at least 60 marshals on the Academys Books.
With reps in the North, Midlands and South.

What do you the players think.
