As im an idiot i didnt read your post properly

They allow you to vent air from your marker when your sitting waiting around between games, so no air is stored within the internals of the gun good for safety etc, they also allow you to unscrew your bottle from the asa much easier when they have been purged!

Get the eclipse POPS, its the best

Potter Loki is right, but you also need to remember that the way some markers use air, some is usually retained in the reg/valve system. I have an Azodin and when I de-gas with the on/off I put on it, there is still enough air for one shot held in the valve. so after I de-gas I switch off and reverse my hopper a couple of turns, point in a safe direction and let one shot go to fully de-gas and make safe.

Careful !!!

The ball already in the breech does not always fall back into the hopper, so you may still have a ball in there.

The way the prophecy feeds, there may be up to three balls left in the breech/feedneck stack.

I usually let the clearing shot go at a tree to be sure, when the marker remains un-cocked after the clearing shot, I know it's not holding anymore air.

basically keep your mask on until you have got rid of all the air in the marker after you have purged it...... i know its a bit much in some people eyes but ......i would rather have my eyes !

thats the thing i see most in new walk-on players is that they are lifting masks during games or before they are in the safe zone because they have misted up or have a itchy eye or something ...not worth it

Agreed, we see that at NPF sometimes when we are playing on regular punter days. This guy had a full blown panic attack ! Guessing he might have been claustrophobic...
