Morning all,

I have an old school autococker which I bought in bits, I went to Belsales and got all the spare parts that were missing and put it back together, however when I aired it up it was leaking badly through the front block, not through any of the hoses, but I could not identify anywhere that it was coming from.

Is there anyone still out there who is a capable tech of these or has them and could sort it for me if i sent it to you - I really love the old cockers and want to use it for woodsball. I was brought up with them in the 90's. :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When aired up does it leak from the 3 way? If so it likely needs only timing and I know the short pull of that wgp hinge frame doesn't work with certain 3 ways very well

Which part of the front block, where are you based? I used cockers for many years and now shoot egos and all sorts. I don't mind having a look for you. I don't carry parts any more but ill be able to tell you what's wrong and fix it if it is just timing. I'm based in Kent and will be at the next campaign walkon

Thanks guys - I have an Ego too but just really want to get the cocker back up running.

It is blowing from the back of the block - not sure if it is from the 3 way - but it was not a small hiss it was a real big leak blowing down onto my hand as I hold the grip. I though it may be the front reg but I don't think it is now. I undid a couple of the larger lugs and put ptfe around them and tightened back up - but no use.

I live up in Lincoln - so Kent is a little too far unless I am driving donw that way :)

Thanks for your help - I knoe there are a few die hard cocker fans out there and wondered if anyone had parts and still repaired them or not ?

If you unscrew the reg you can take the thing off that it screws into with a socket from a socket set, there should be a seal between that and the body, it could be leaking there. Also there is a seal around the screw that holds the front block to the body, try feeling if its from there, if it is it might just need tightening up or taking off and checking the seal.

There is a pair of o-rings on the banjo bolt that holds the front block on. Check that they are both there and intact on ether side, and if they are and it still leaks it'll be something else. Other possibilities for external leaks are verticle ASA o-ring, 3 way seals, LP hoses, LP reg fitting to block joint, or any blanking screws. Dab a bit of soapy water around the block and bubbles should show leak position.
