In a recent thread it came to light that there's a number of old skool rap and hiphop fans on this forum. I have some sad news. Jam Master Jay of Run DMC fame was shot and killed yesterday.

it's a great loss and a sad day for music (before ppl say rap ain't music who cares? we ALL dig "walk this way"!) this was kinda strange coz only last night i watched a documentary about Run Dmc and a friend an I were talking about how cool they were, guess thats my Run Dmc 12" Vinyl collection gone up in value!

... apparantly some other unlucky sod got shot in the ankle. Why would anyone want to shoot him, everyone I've heard today talking about him said he was a really nice guy etc.
