O-ring advice needed!

I have just switched from messing around with Tippmanns in my garden to ordering a Proto Rail 2011 to play more seriously. However, I noticed there was no O-ring on the barrel, unlike my 98c. Do I need to fit one to it before I play or do some markers not need an o-ring on the barrel?

Many thanks in advance!

Normally Barrels don't need o-rings because they do not hold any air, therefore not needing any seal. Also the proto rail 11 doesn't have anything on the barrel, it's just plain metal and paint. Hope this helped :)

Ah okay. I assumed there must be a seal to make sure the air went down the marker's barrel - but I guess the metal must do the job. Thanks a lot!

An o ring on the barrel will assist against any 'rattle' loosening

Screw it in firmly but not stupidly tight and make sure that you unscrew it in the right direction

Some barrels have a reversed thread, (more often with 2 piece barrels) which people forget and find it firmly stuck solid after they tighten it with extra force

Otherwise don't worry about it
