NXL F/A rule already circumvented

Rumor has it 2 and perhaps 3 of the NXL teams showed up at Nemacolin with new boards that stored shots, allowing the players to pull the trigger three times prior to game on so that the instant the horn sounded they turned and went F/A. A small matter perhaps but demonstrates unequivocally that teams and players will work hard to circumvent any and every rule possible as that is/was not the spirit of the new ruling.
Rumor also has it NXL officials were aware of it and let it slide.

And no, I ain't saying which teams or who was (apparently) responsible for programming those new boards--though I've heard that, too.

I thought it was your 'thing' to expose the guilty. By admitting knowledge of the 'crime' and not exposing the culprit(s) how does this make you better than the NXL officials who 'let it slide'?

EDIT ADDED: Crime? A bit overwrought, even by my standards. As to exposing the culprits, I did, as the real problem lies with enforcement or the lack thereof. And while I'm sure the source is accurate I can't personally confirm the specifics--so I won't.
And if I were you, God forbid, I'd hesitate to call anything lame when I insist on hiding behind my pseudonym while obsessing on all things festive. Just a thought. TFP

YAY! I'm not sure who did it, but I have to say I am pleased and proud of them for proving once again that whatever rules you make paintballers will always find ways to cheat. ALWAYS.

So do you keep changing the rules to keep making cheating allowed (seems like it if they turned a blind eye) or do you make a stand?

So what's next, now that we have FULL AUTO, how long till the ROF creeps up again? I say the next event...

surely it will only be a matter of time before these full auto markers capped at 15 bps will be doing 22 bps due to some cheat or other..........

capping the rof is just stupid...............prime example you put a 30 limit on a road, someone is gonna do 40 no matter what you do or say.

already somone has gotten round the 3 shots then fa thing......next thing will be tap in a code on the trigger and it does x bps for so many shots or for a set time etc.......

damn how long is it before some smart ass puts a bluetooth chip in a marker.........dont tell me im the only person who has thought of it.....ill leave the reason why for anyone who hasnt already to work it out for themselves.

end of the day if you are gonna allow fa.....just allow fa and forget the cap.

my personal opinion.....i dont like fa but who the hell am i for my view to count?

but can you spin in full auto and have it shoot 30 balls in .5 seconds then pause, then do it again? Cause for laning, that would be cool.

It comes back to an idea i had last year.

The governing body provides a standard sealed board that must be installed in your marker before you can play...job done.

No cheats, no checking guns for bounce and ramping ect.

Yeah, and so would having, say, three lives. Mebbe we could pick up power-ups around the field that would give us force-fields too!
And after you're shot for the 3rd time, the field ultimate could freeze the game and run over to me with a money-box and I'd have the option to "insert coin to continue"?

If you have a limit of 30 people will do 40, but if you don't put a limit people will do what every the hell they like, way in excess of 40.

By putting a limit of 15bps (even if people do cheat) it puts a limit on the rate of fire to some extent. Thats how i see it. Personallt though im against FA.
