I recently purchased a Red Wave Dye NT11 from these forums. When we gassed it up today the lights came on as they should, went solid green when the hopper was loaded with paint but started blinking green the minute the trigger was pulled and the marker will not fire.

If anyone has any idea what could be causing this your help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Ben

well the board is registering the trigger pull so it is not a malfunction there. can you confirm if the solenoid is clicking when you pull the trigger? also when you 'gas up' the gun does the bolt get pulled back into the starting position?

Hi Pawzo

If its a Red Wave then its an NT10 that you have. Could you please check a few things for me, then I'll be able to help you resolve the issue.

-When you gas the gun up, does the bleed button at the back of the bolt pop out, indicating that there is pressure in the bolt?
-Have you adjusted the reg setting at all, and do you have one of the DYE reg testers handy?
-Have you changed and o-rings on the bolt, or any of the settings on the board?

It could be a couple of different things, so if you can answer those then it will help me narrow it down.

Thanks

The bleed button appears to pop out, when pressed air comes out of it. I don't have a Reg tester at all. As for settings, I haven't adjusted anything but it was purchased from another player so I can't guarantee that it hasn't been changed. Same goes for the o-rings on the bolt. Is it worth me restoring it to factory settings?

Cheers.

Hi Pawzo

That is a good place to start. Reset the dwell to 8 and the Hyper3 reg to 135 psi (approx 5 turns) Its also worth replacing the spool spring and rear spool bumper if you have the parts kit.

Try that and see how you go, if you are still having issues please e-mail eurotech@[nospam]dyeprecision.com (removing the [nospam] obviously) or call the office on 0208 649 6330

Thanks
Ash
