Well, what a season! As I said at leg seven's presentation, this is undoubtably the best year that any paintball league in the South West has ever had. The quality of both events and teams has improved yet again over the last 12-months.

Congratulations to every team that has competed regularly in the NSPL this season. My personal gratitude goes out to each and every player for helping to create such an enjoyable atmosphere at my events and behaving (in the most) like true sportsmen.

The final positions at leg seven can be found at www.nspl.co.uk under Rankings. Jump across now and take a look at how close some of the final results were!

The end of season Promotions and Relegations are listed below. It should be noted that any teams playing just one leg have been removed from the Rankings altogether. Finally, because the SW and SE are merging next year, a team's SE results can affect their final promotion and relagation status (but no other team will be affected by such a change).

Relegation to Division 2
Basingstoke Tsunami

Relegation to Division 3
Bridgwater Fire and Ice
NA Angels

Relegation to Division 4
Bournemouth Riptide
Redruth Ignite

Promotion to Division 3
Southampton FX
Bridport Synapse

Promotion to Division 2
Bristol Recoil
Perranporth Apex Assassins

Promotion to Division 1
Alpha 1 HRF
Bristol XS

And finally, the top division one team earns entry in to next season's Pro Tour national series. By just 29 points over Cool As Ice, the winning team is...

London HPG Factory Team

Well done to all who received promotion and in particular to London HPG for their consistent performance throughout the year. Unlucky to those teams who just missed out on promotion or are relegated to a lower division.

Stick around to see what happens in the NSPL (SE) and for news on the league developments during the off-season.

If London HPG choose to play it next season, the place is theirs - they've earnt it. The same reward will go to the winner of Division 1 in the NSPL (SE), though we have just over a month to go before we see what the final results will be there.
