I'm back in the NSPL HQ in Sunny (ish) Devon and finally clean and dry. What a wet weekend, but the rain didn't dappen spirits and everyone seemed to have a really good time at the SE Paintball Village for round 5 of the NatWest Southern Paintball League.

The presentation for this event was a bit hurried due to the heaven's opening up and everyone wanting to get changed, dry and hit the road. So I'll take this opportunity to thank Warren and the Great Chart Golf Club for the venue, Cynergy and everyone else who reffed in the aweful conditions, Heaven Paintball and Paintball Warehouse for the trade stands, the NatWest bank for their continued support, and all the teams for participating throughout the event.

We are almost half way through the season already guys. June and July look to be fantastic months for paintballing in the South of England. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for details of the next Reading fixture on June 18th and then Heaven's Gate 4 in late July.

The league tables will be updated within the next hour and you can find them upon www.nspl.co.uk.

I think that everyone's acceptance speeches were rushed as well due to the rain and I for one would like to thank Syd whole heartedly for another fantastic event - I think even with the weather being as it was everyone enjoyed the day.

I have to admit I think the marshalling was the best I've ever seen (and thats saying a lot given the overall quality and consistency of the marshalling throughout the event - top notch). I've always tried to make a point of thanking the marshalls after each individual game, its a pretty thankless task and whatever you do you're going to get criticised for it by some resentful player.

Lastly thanks to all the teams we played against, was good seeing some familiar faces and some new ones alike. See you all in Reading? :D
