The curtain has closed on our first outing to Reading of 2009, the NSPLs tenth anniversary season. What an event! Great weather, plenty of vendors, and some of the best paintball to be played on UK soil in quite some time. The buzz around the venue was amazing and the paintball a delight to watch and hotly contested from start to finish. Congratulations to all the division winners and well done to everyone who made it such a special weekend.

Special thanks go out to the army of people who helped to make this event a great success including my staff at UCZ, the set up crew, the tear down crew, the refs, the sponsors, Paintball Pictures, the vendors, and all of the players and teams. I can't wait for next month when we get to do it all over again.
The event wasn't perfect - we still have plenty of areas for improvement and will be working just as hard on Round 3, again to be held at the Reading NSPL venue on May 17th.
In addition, lets all remember what we are fighting on these battle fields for - everyone is earning seeding points towards the end of season National Championships organised in conjunction with the Federation by the NSPL and the UK Masters. The top team at the end of the season in each division will earn free entry to this exciting event and places for the Finals will be offered to the best teams from the NSPL and Masters first. The NSPL and Masters are the only events you can earn these seeding points and free spots to set you on the path to the biggest bragging rights available in the UK, not to mention a huge prize package which is being put together by the whole paintball industry!
This season promised to be a good one. Its off to a fantastic start and looks set to get better and better.
Thanks again to everyone for a truely memorable weekend.
