The following dates have been released today for the NSPL's seven events, incorporating the Millennium's Campaign Cup, during 2009.

Round One – 8th March – UCZ Paintball Park, Devon
Round Two – 5th April – NSPL Reading
Round Three – 29th-31st May - Campaign Cup *
Round Four – 21st June – NSPL Reading
Round Five – 26th July – NSPL Reading
Round Six - 6th September – NSPL Reading
Round Seven – 11th October – UCZ Paintball Park, Devon

* The Campaign Cup is NOT organised by the NSPL. All enquiries, bookings, etc should be made with the Millennium Series. Visit http://www.millennium-series.com for full details and further information.

Teams will be ranked on their performance at a total of five events. They may play as many or as few events as they please, but their top five scores (including their score from Campaign Cup if applicable) will be used to decide the final end-of-season rankings.

All dates are as concrete as possible at this time. We have done everything we can to ensure that none of our planned fixtures differ from the details published above. That said, these dates are published under the assumption that the Campaign Cup will be on the above date in May - if this changes then expect some of the NSPL's event dates to change too.

We have worked closely with the UK Masters to avoid any date clashes and therefore ensure maximum coverage at all UKPSF Sanctioned tournament events this season, both by the teams and the industry. Expect an announcement from the UK Masters regarding any clashes between the dates above and the dates Wendy has already published.

Further details about the qualifying event's for the UKPSF National Championships will be released shortly.

The NSPL web site at http://www.nspl.co.uk will be updated with all the new information for 2009 within a couple of weeks. Once this update is complete, teams will be able to register for the 2009 NSPL season and book in to each fixture via our secure on-line booking pages. We will make an announcement when this update is complete and registration is opened.

In the meantime, if you have any queries, please call Chris on 01626 833 200.

Looking forwards to another season of awesome events! At the risk of sounding stupid: Am I right in thinking that div1 teams will have to play the CC if they want to have 5 events to be ranked from (since there are only 4 Reading events?)? If so, do we have to enter a specific division in the CC?

To score five ranking events, Div 1 teams will indeed have to play Campaign Cup, but then there is no reason why a division one team would not play Campaign.

The method for calculating NSPL ranking points from a team's performance at Campaign Cup will be published with the web site update. Div One teams will be required to play an X-Ball division at CC in order to score NSPL Div One ranking points. So if that team does not already own a locked Millennium division spot, then the Division to enter at Campaign is Div Two.

I would expect all serious UK teams to play Campaign this year. The calendar has been arranged to allow for this and by incorporating the country's biggest and best event in to the NSPL's ranking system we are obviously suggesting that all NSPL teams should be playing it. Afterall, play Campaign and you only have to play four other events in the season to gain all your ranking scores. :)

NSPL Registration will open this coming Monday guys... thanks for your patience.

NSPL Teams are required to register on our http://www.nspl.co.uk web site. We are currently working hard to bring everything in place for registration to open on Monday, 9th February.

At this point, Team Profiles will need to be updated and/or created (registered) AND player lists will need to be brought bang up to date for the 2009 season.

We will also require all players to register for UKPSF membership and add their UKPSF number to their NSPL player information. For those of you who want to get a step ahead, you can register with the UKPSF right now by visiting...

http://www.ukpsf.com/join.asp

Remember that all players will be required to have UKPSF membership in order to participate in the NSPL and the card also comes with insurance cover for each player:

- £5 million Civil Liability cover
- Personal Accident : Death and Capital Benefits £50,000
- Temporary Total Disablement £50.00 per week (14 days deferment period)

The cost for UKPSF Player Membership is £15.

I am aware that the NSPL does not show up on the list of sanctioned events at the moment. It will be on there as soon as the t's are crossed and i's are dotted, but I want to give you the chance to get a head start on things so there is not a load of admin to do just before your first event.

Watch out for NSPL Registration to open on this coming Monday...
