NPS/PSP press release
Ok this appeared over at Smacktalk....( I know, I get a bit warry of stuff posted there also) but this seems to be legit. I don't know if this means they've blown off Chuck all together or what. I find it some what funny how they tout the WC success.... yada yada... Milestones? omg.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 15, 2002
National Paintball Supply (“NPS”) is proud to announce its support for the 2003 Paintball Sports Promotions (“PSP”) series of tournaments.
Upon considering PSP’s successful 2002 season and their plans for 2003 and beyond, NPS is convinced that the PSP has demonstrated its full and unqualified commitment to the growth of competition paintball and bringing our sport to the next level.
The 2002 Paintball World Cup reached new milestones this year with more than 450 teams participating. 5 Man and 10 Man champions were crowned in four categories, pro, amateur, novice and rookie, and, for the first time, a college championship was held with many of the biggest universities in the nation competing in the new X Ball format.
Other firsts included a one-hour documentary of the 10 man event at the Cup to be aired on the Outdoor Life Network by early December, and the introduction of paintball at Disney's Wide World of Sports.
The PSP has unveiled its program for the 2003 season and it is clear that the top-ranked pro and amateur teams will most assuredly participate in the proposed 5 man center flag, 10 man two flag and new X Ball™ formats to be played exclusively at the various PSP events. Further, the PSP has demonstrated their commitment to support players and sponsors at every level and to provide the every participant with incentives for supporting the PSP series of tournaments.
After taking a look PSP’s 2003 program at www.npplinfo.com we think you will agree that there is nothing else on the paintball horizon that has as much potential of moving our sport to the next level.
