Last seasons NPPL events will finish being aired on FOX two week before the first event of this season.

Enough time for fox to assess the public's reaction to the show, in time to air this season's events as they happen?

Highly unlikely. It takes a lot longer than two weeks to organise a shoot like that.

Having said that, they will be shooting the event for the DVD's anyway so maybe they will just speed up post to get another 6 shows out sooner, but they wouldn't want to show one show a month, no scheduler would go for that...

I don't see why a sheduler wouldn't be able to find some time for a monthly show. Particularly on a sports channel, were they are used to scheduling less frequent events.

RE production times. Like you said they are already making the DVDs so it is just a step up.
