NPPL's Email Accounts hacked! Posted: Sat, 21 Dec 2002
In what can only be described as a dirty trick by someone or some organization, the National Professional Paintball League's email was hacked into and redirected. Read on for the full press release by Camille Baker

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of the Paintall Industry,
It is with a heavy heart that I send this message, informing my friends and colleagues that the NPPL's e-mail accounts (name@nppl.info) such as mine, have been sabotaged. For an undetermined amount of time, my outgoing and incoming messages have been secretly sent by another party to others in the industry. My family phoned late last night with a concern about returned messages they had tried to send me. When I attempted to retrieve my messages, much to my dismay, the account had been tampered with and in turn locked me out. Upon researching this situation it is now clear to us what has taken place. All though evidence has made it apparent who was involved in this matter, we have decided not to make that information public at this time, as we are seeking legal council.

Unfortunatly, due to this disturbing act I will have no way of accessing the nppl.info account nor any messages from the past. You may now reach me at Camille@nppl.tv and you may reach Chuck at Chuck@nppl.tv, our website is now www.nppl.tv and is already up and running.

For those of you that know me well, you're quite aware of my honesty and restraint when it comes to speaking harshly of others. These repulsive actions have left me feeling disgusted, shocked and ashamed to be in the same industry as those sick enough to try to stay above the water by holding someone else's head down.

I'm sorry to send such a letter out during the Holidays, but as direct as I am, I wanted you guys to be aware of what has taken place. The NPPL would like to thank all of you for the amount of encouragement and support you have continued to show us year after year. If it weren't for you, acts such as these would probably get the best of me. But instead, it has confirmed how crutial it is that we stand our ground and fight for what is right. For those of my friends that are suffering from sleepless nights due to all that is going on in our industry, just remember why you're here, for love of the game. If you have to worry about anything other than playing, then that just isn't right. Clear your minds this Holiday Season and when you're ready to have some fun, come play paintball. That's all you should have to worry about.

Peace be with you,
Camille Baker

Tune into nppl.tv over the weekend for some exciting announcement

Camille's E-mail, and the web site were not hacked as they would like to make everyone think, they didn't own the domain, and the owner didn't want them to have access it anymore, thus he stopped allowing them to use it.

So while the NPPL masterminds may want you to think the whole world is out to get them in a conspiracy type manner, it really isn't.

Except, of course, Dave that doesn't mean "the owner" didn't take advantage of available access to "acquire" info and communication they had no right to.
Do you want to tell us who the owner is/was and who he's working for now? Umm?

Knowing the owner of the domain, he probably didn't do anything with any of the e-mails. The fact of the matter Chuck and Camille love to make themselves look like the victims all the time, when in fact they were the one's who collected thousands of dollars per event for sanctioning fees and ungodly amounts of money from teams for "membership dues"

Can anyone see exactly what they did with this money?? Umm pay the pro-refs? nope PSP did that, gather up prizes? nope a psp employee did that too. (both of these duties were supposed to be done by the NPPL, and when the PSP saw that it wasn't they took care of them)

All I really saw the NPPL do is, show up to each event and collect their loot. Somewhere in between these two tasks they spent a great deal of time blaming everything wrong in the world on the PSP and taking credit for things they didn't even think about doing.

Have fun playing on the Beach, I've played in the sand, it sucks.

Yet you won't name him, eh, Dave?
While you're entitled to your views (and I certainly agree that the NPPL owes folks some sort of explantions or assurances despite what Raehl says) peeps might find it useful to know who you play for. Want to tell 'em?
That owing folks an explanation thing is a two way street, however, and the PSP hasn't always managed it very well either.

As for the sand I guess we'll see. If it's half as bad as the concrete-like dirt and rocks at Vegas last year the NPPL is in trouble.
