VIP was, by the semis reasonably crowded but it looked like the regulars to me--the players that rated, vendors, DynaKids' moms, Angel chicks, etc. The usual. Some may have paid but I doubt it was many.
The grandstand looked smaller than the usual and through most of Sunday there was a nearly empty mid-sction of the bleachers that began to fill around semis time. Whether that was reserved for paying customers or what I didn't find out. 26 may know more (I sent him to find out
) Even so, by finals the bleachers weren't packed like this year's earlier events. The fact that parking lot at Invesco was terraced with fields lower than surrounding parking lot also gave some room on hill sides for people to watch from.
Warped Tour rejects? I sincerely doubt it. The only view Tour customers had of event was waiting in line around the stadium to get in and as Tour started around 11 they were just getting warmed up as our event was finishing off between 2 and 3.
Location had fantastic view of Denver skyline and Six Flags amusement park and PP did their usual bang up job of promotions with signs inviting pepps to come check it out all over the surrounding area but the venue didn't have the passing by traffic of HB and even close to downtown paintball simply isn't a draw on it's own yet. However, with more TV impact it was the kind of venue that would make it easy for peeps to come check it out.
