Ok just wondered, at the moment all the pro teams are fighting for a place in the top 18 to qualify for next years closed league.

Now what happens next year if a team or two can't make an event due to lack of funds or whatever, what happens?

Is there teams on standby who can be shifted from Am A for just one leg?
Also do they have to sign a contract to say they will play every leg and are "encouraged" to play?

Sorry if im way of the mark there, just wondered?

You would think that the best supported teams would have the best shot at those spots. Therefore, though they may sometimes run short, it wouldn't be as likely, or at least as likely due to money shortages.

From what I understand there will be delegation and promotion at the end of the season, so if a team misses out on some events, they run a bigger risk of delegation. At least, that's how I interpret things...
Sorry, but don't you mean 'relegation'? :)

Next year maybe A little different

The idea is to create a true pro division. The so called AM division will be come a Semi pro division. There will be teams from the NXL probably competing in this division to move up the following year to the Pro Division. Pro and Semi Pro is finally going to mean something. Yes there will be growing pains but sponsors will finally be sponsoring pro teams........not just someone saying they are pro. The teams in this division will finally see real time sponsorship deals and possibly outside industry stuff.
