Sorry, yeah thats right. They give you the dates, but not the venue. I guess you will have to wait for the venue til about 6 weeks before the event. But hey, all you really need now are the dates anyway is´nt it?

I would like to go on the record as saying that the more specific information I have sooner, the easier it is to plan. Dates are nice, but if I can reserve a house or rooms or whatever now for NYC, Miami, Chicago, good. I understand that the next event is always the focus, but location information early is nice.

Also, you need to understand the codes in the City. while paintball is popular in the outerboroughs and the suburbs, Manhattan has no actual paintball fields. Also, gun control is very strict. They recently passed a law banning toy guns because kids were flashing them on the street and getting shot by cops. Throw in the recent events and terorism alerts, a bunch of people marching around with paintball guns won't be too accepted.

If the Super 7 is in Madison Square Garden or Chelsea Piers (the only 2 places in Manhattan it could realistically be held), then people will need to know the regulations about carrying their gear in advance so they can plan accordingly.

I think however, it should be held in Giant Stadium. The big problem there, however, is transportation. Its in a swamp in the middle of nowhere.

NPPL has Vegas this coming week, then the Chicago event to plan for. So I wouldn't expect any specific information before June or July. As far as the location goes, I highly doubt it will be in NYC proper - too expensive, too many regulations and there really aren't any arenas big enough to host an event of this size (MSG and Chelsea Piers don't have the space IMO).

There are a number of horse tracks and college football fields in NJ or Long Island that could be used. Personally I'm hoping for NJ
:D Giant Stadium would be pretty cool.

Its not that bad..A little car ride through the Lincoln Tunnel and voila,Giant Stadium not 15 minutes away..(Jet season ticket holder:) )..

But if thier looking to draw crowds, then the Meadowlands wouldnt really be a good place...Shamu hit the nail on the head when he mentioned Long Island as there are plenty of colleges that could play host to the event..But sorry dude,it aint happening in Jersey unless they can put it on the beach in Belmar:p

My perfect place for the event..Right square in the middle of Central Park...We can dream right:)

The fit would hit the shan if the eco-geeks found out there was people with cleats running over the Great Lawn.

But, you made me think about Van Courtland in the Bronx. A whole bunch of buses and a few trains stop by it. Not to mention 3 highways. All that and right next to Manhattan college. and near Fordham.

The only issue is that its wide open next to the highways, so it would require a whole lot of netting.

I doubt LI, because it is listed on the NPPL sight as New York, NY. Normally LI is listed as Long Island, New York. Guess that rules out Giant stadium, too.

And the GWB is faster than the tunnel (Giants fan:D )

Well,NY city isnt Huntington Beach...If they were to hold it there they better have gotten started years ago cuz thats about how long it would take to get all the necessary permits to pull it off..And if they do,God bless em...

Scary thought..The brits lost in the Bronx lugging around thousands of dollars worth of gear asking for directions in the middle of the ghetto..I can just see the headlines now..:p

No doubt they are trying to get it in the city but if that fails I could only see them putting it on LI or maybe some places in Queens..Its either that of a 5 hour trek in upstate NY somewhere and know they aint doing that..NPPL Syracuse or Albany just wouldnt have the same appeal;)

Or I can just walk to Port Authority and take a 10 minute bus ride..Case solved:D ..And they have fans after blowing a 24 pt fourth quarter lead to San Fran last year?? :D :D
