Its now official. Joy Division will with some help from Overdose, Powertrip and HardCore reff the S7 first leg of the Nppl.

18 Swedes will fly out to the other side off the world to insure "Joy Masters class reffing"

Looks like they are doing everything they can to get it right!

NPPL give a rules link to 2001 NPPL rules. That I don't understand. I think that the Millennium variation on the NPPL rules would make most sense since that is made for 7-player and specifies 8 refs per field. But it is not for me to decide. Magued told us that we would have some serious discussions about rules and reffing when we arrive a week early. There is also info about points, game durations, etc. on NPPL's site.

Whatever the case, looking forward to fun (and hard work) in the sun.

I am not going, but I think they have really pulled out all the stops

Got to say the Scandinavian teams are the hardest working, fairest and harshest (in a good way) of the teams I saw on the Millennium. To me this bodes VERY well for NPPL.

(except they let some old codgers ref who will pull a 1-4-1 for sneezing wrongly ;):D )

I've got YOUR number now, young whippersnapper! You stereotype people with your age discrimination. You see some some pot-bellied, weirdly attired, obviously ancient person on the field and you think, "It'll be easy to pull a fast one on him!" Try it again and you'll get more of the same. (Thank God for geritol, daily enemas and Viagra!)

At LA I'm going to disguise myself as a youngster so watch your tricks!:D
