News: The NPPL is change the names for the ranking classes for the 2002 season. Pro will still be Pro. Amatuer A will change to Amatuer. Amatuer B will change to Novice. There will be a Rookie classification for the 5 man events.

Eligibility will be the same as they were before.

To be eligible for Rookie:

You must not already be ranked amateur A or Pro.
You cannot play in more than 2 of the first 4 NPPL tournaments.
You can play in 2 tournaments and then the World Cup

I will make posts of team lists with these new classification names in the future.

If you have already registered as Am-B, and would like to move into the Amateur classification instead of playing Novice, please let me know ASAP. In the 5 man the same applies if you have registered as Novice (which is now called Rookie) and would like to change that registration to the new Novice (which was Am-B) - then please let me know.

If you need more info on the changes you should contact one of your elected reps on the steering committee, some one on the rules committee, or one of the officers of the league. Although we are in full support of the new changes, Paintball Sports Promotions (the promoters) is not the group who makes these type changes. It is a function of the league and the rules committee.

Again the new classifications for 10 man beginning with the 2002 LA Open are

Pro
Amateur
Novice

For the 5 man event -
Pro (I don,t think any pro teams are entering)
Amateur
Novice
Rookie
