NPPL announce gun and paint races for the title

In the latest flashy, full color PR piece the NPPL lays out the Pro results from HB and the top 5 in the NEW gun & paint manufacturers race. After one event the Ego is top dog.

It would be nice to have the NPPL clarify how the manufacturers title points are calculated though and to make a bigger deal out of it in the lead up to Tampa so's everybody knows it's on.

Anyway, good fun and I'm glad to see it. Now if we can get the OTB to lay odds on matches we got us a sport.

im suprised Smart Parts aint there, with dynasty and that. Is it worked out using the just the pro teams?

Apparently one has to be a "gold" or "platinum" NPPL sponsor as well as a sponsor of a NPPL "pro" team to be in the running for the gun/paint mfg race...just noticed that SP aren't on the list with two pro teams in the Sunday club...yet the Evil Pimp Kit makes top 5 with only one team in the world shooting them...and only in the prelims, I might add. Ditto for GAP - they sponsor the #1 pro team, and sponsor the NPPL, but it seems they don't sponsor the NPPL enough.

It's just the NPPL stroking the EGO (pun mos def intended) of their high contribution sponsors.

if ever i compare paintball to another sport, its motor racing or more specifically F1, regardless of how its points scheme is worked out its a fantastic idea for the teams and the gun and paint manufacturers alike.

It's a fantastic idea for NPPL getting more money, since money given to NPPL is the main item measured in the rankings.
