Nottingham , Who'd be interested in coming to train?

Training at Nottingham on the 17th

Assuming the fields have recovered enough , and there are not 400 customers on site , What teams would be interested in coming to Nottingham to do a bit of training on the 17th of March?
If I can persuade the boss , I think we could get the Sup'Air out for the day , aswell as the Hyperball ( Dont get clever anyone , I'm not gonna get Hyperball out for the day , Its always out ).
Good bit of training for the Masters the following week ( asuming you're not playing the 2K2 7-Man ).

point taken. But this time Polly's on the job. She knows when training is , 'cus she put it in her diary. You know he dare not upset her. . No matter whos wedding / funeral / christening / etc he is supposed to go to.

But did you realise that 17th is the same date as the next Series 2002 Leg?

yeah mate. I know its the same date as the 2K2. But it was put as our training date ages ago. We aren't planning on doing any of the 7 - Man events in the series. But you never know.

Just thought it would be good to do something with other teams , if there is any about.

UK Raiders and Hannibels Heros are both up for it. And I think the Mighty Shellfish will be there too. Trigger Happy ( or Help as they call themselves now ) might be there aswell.

If I can get 6-8 teams as a definate , then we can have two teams playing and one marshalling each field. any more than 6 teams and they can watch. Rotate the teams and the fields , and it gives you some acurate tournament feel to do your training. Try some new moves , just play ball or drop to the sides and do some drills. Whatever you want.

But all this depends on whether the field is O.K. to play on , and I can get enough teams.

Keep posting people , and I'll let you know as soon as I do. .

we had a look at the fields today , and they dont look too bad.

We've just got to double check that it will be O.K. with the boss ( do that tomorrow ) , and we should be on. I'll post tomorrow evening to let you all know.

It just depends on when we are re-seeding the field. if its before the 17th , we're Fncked. .

17th is definately on

There will be training at Nottingham on the 17th of March. Any team ( or any one for that matter ) is welcome. But I do need to know in advance.

There will be a small site entry charge , but with this you do get free tea & coffee all day + a hot dinner at lunch time.

For those teams that need air , I can also arrange a large bulk air tank for you , so long as I know before the Thursday prior to training ( it is 35 litre 233 bar. Just under 3000psi ).

We will be able to use Hyperball all day as well as the woodland fields , but with the woodlan we do have to make way for our customer groups that will be playing on the same day. Sup'Air is still possible , but to be honest , it is looking doubtful. The plan is to re-seed the field before the training ready for summer tournies. But if the weather is cold , it wont get seeded. We will have to wait and see.

It will be a tournament feel to the day , but very relaxed. If your team wants to take on another team ( for whatever reason ) go and challenge them. Hopefully there will be enough people to do some marshalling ( gives those who have never marshalled a tourny , to get a taste of what its like ).

If you want to do drills or try new moves , again its a good time to do it. If you have an idea of how you want to train. You can share it on the day. Or if you want , you can just play ball. But lets have some fun with it.

Those who are coming , be on site between 8.15 and 9.00. If you arrive after this , you will have to carry everything down to the safe area by hand. No cars will be let through. Its about 250 yards from where you'll be parked!!

Costs for the day :

£10 site entry per person.
£20 for a bulk air tank ( you do need to bring a DIN type fill rig ).
