North VS South and more!

Team Relapse
Hi all,

Was just wondering if anyone here is going to be coming to the big North VS South event at the end of April?

If so, any advice or tips during this 1600 man game?

Also I am about to purchase this Empire Battlepack

http://www.store.justpaintball.co.uk/battle-packs/empire/empire-react-pack-zn.html

Although I don't know If I should get a 7, 9, 11 or 13 pot capacity? (Bear in mind I'm around 5'3)

Thanks!

Yep, I'm going to NvS with a fair few others on here (have a look in the Scenario forum). My only tips would be to get in with a group who look like they're vaguely aware of what's going on and follow them around, being on your own wouldn't be fun. Otherwise run make sure you're aware of what the scenario objectives are, try not to waste too much paint longballing and have fun!

Pack looks ok and your height isn't really an issue, however your waist size, load bearing ability, playing style and the efficiency of your marker are all going to dictate which is the best option.

Don't forget that when you quote pack size, only some of the holders are 'proper' ones with velcro closing tabs. The '+' number are less secure elasticated loops which can be a bugger to get pots back into on the field and are less secure when you're running around. So a 9 pot pack actually only has 3 proper holders +6 elasticated loops.

I'd discount the 2+5, it's too small to give you any flexibility.

I'd advise either a 3+6 or 4+7 (especially if you're slim). I've got both and probably lean towards the 4+7 more. If you're a bit bigger around the waist then you could get away with a 5+8 without being swamped, but how much paint will you actually want to carry and how much can your marker shoot on a single fill? Don't forget that paint weighs a fair bit, will you really want to cart around 11 pots? That's 3/4 of a box of paint and there aren't many markers that will shoot 1500 balls from a 4500/68 fill - no point carrying around excess weight that you can't shoot.

I'll probably be in a p8ntballer plat top at NvS with Gadget 94 on the back, say hi if you spot me :)

4 + 3+ 2. That way you got room for at least two pods and 7 cans of beer:D:D.

Edit: me too, only I will probably swaying about when standing still and most definatly wont be seen running anywhere:p. Look out for 'hotgun Al' on a blue 08 Plat jersey, Probably will be seen most days around the bar area near the trade stands 'cooling down' with a pint and a cuban havana on the go :tsk:
