noob 'mag question

k i got a real noob question, but i have to know something.<br><br>

ok, i am under a pretty strong impression that everyone worships 'mags, whether it be e-mags, x-mags (i dont know the difference since ive never used one), but, if they're so good, why are they not used more? because it also seems to me that they're pretty rare (i could be mistaken, but thats the way it seems).<br><br>

if somebody could enlighten me that would be awesome

Automags are all mechanical (i think) - old and slow (unless they have the deadlywind frame!) which is why theyre mainly used for rec ball

E-mags are electronic and fast Also meant to be very reliable
and X-mags are just the milled version of the Emag?(not sure on that one)

I think the reason they arent used anymore is because parts are hard to find for them, as there isnt an AGD dealer in the UK anymore (correct me if im wrong of course) plus, some wierd people think theyre fugly! If i wasnt shooting an angel id definately go for an E/Xmag

ok first off the automag isnt slow, it can fire as fast as anyone can pull the trigger.
second the emag is an electronic version of the automag
and the Xmag came with the L10 bolt as standard, and aluminium construction, the early xmags had emag valves but pretty soon they went over to the much lighter X-valves. then the CnC X-mag was released which had rather funky milling.
ok the deadlywind trigger, is a work of genious and just so you know its called the Hair, it a pneumatic trigger frame, so no electronics, but it isnt going to be made because of patent infringments, sorry. the emags had a bad reputation for chopping paint, which didnt help the image and also they are quite heavy, the xmag sorted that out with the aluminium construction and valve, plus it can with a fancy new bolt L10 that was so gental on paint its creator stuck his tounge into the breach and fired to show how gental it was on paint and guess what.......... there was no blood! lol. if i had to list a couple of reasons for the lack of popularity it would be to do with the emags patchy start in life, the weight, and the cost was quite high. but i beleive it was/is a quality item and worth every penny. although now due to the lack of popularity parts are tricky to get in the uk, but easy enough to ship from the US. if you want any other info email me and i can be a little more through.

to answer your question not everyone does worship them, i belevie there one of paintballs best kept secrets which suits me coz i have a nice mag and i like to be different.

AGD europe closed down apparently, so parts and guns gotta be shipped here from the US... shame mags rock.

There also pretty hard to find even on the ammerican sites, which is a bit crazy... anyone know why??

there are a few people to try for mags, roguefactor, themagsmith, logic, devilmag and of course the AO forums. ive dealt with themagsmith and roguefactor there both great, but at the moment themagsmith doesnt ship to the uk. if anyone needs anything i can help them find it.

Do Mags etc have eyes in...or can you put eyes in?...dont know anything about them

I tried a Viking today and its sure as Hell Fugly, but it went quite fast. Although I sat in the sun for 1 hour with it, and it went up by 100 on the chrono to bloody 360!!!

tried an ion today, pretty fast, but I dont like them because you have to spend too much money making them go fast, and they also look like lego if you get the yellow one
