I apologise in advance, I have already posted up some replies to some threads without properly introducing myself; bad etiquette, Sorry.
I have been playing PB for about 18 months as a way to share some quality time with my wife and kids; and for the best part, this has worked out. I've joined a couple of local(ish) PB sites and try to get down to the walk-ons regularly.
Have also attended a couple of events, Drakelow tunnels, another Magfed event in Chester and some events in Congleton; all of which have been great fun;
Since starting, a lot of friends and colleagues have also signed up and we now run around as a "loose" team (in the sense that we like playing together) of around 10 players although at a push I can rustle up closer to 16 if we share out our markers; being close friends means that we can just mix it up during the games; get lots of opportunity to try out each others kit; works really well for us.
We enjoy most aspects of the sport, speedball, scenario, woods-ball, magfed, you name it, we give it a go. I gotta be honest; I think they're all great, in my opinion, none of the play styles is "better" than the other, they're just different. Obviously I have preferences but not at the detriment of the other styles.
We've joined the UKPSF; (and if there are any other newbies out there reading this, really, go look at their site, you won't regret it); I believe that if you want to take part in a sport, then helping to sponsor an organisation trying to help you is the least you can do (and to be honest, a bit of a no brainer); and you get loads of other goodies by joining too.
Anyway, that was a brief introduction; I look forward to posting up other comments in future.
