We did have non-snag jerseys they were called "army surplus" but that isn't the way it is going now, has been threads about rec v tourny, but not wanting to start this up again, the only way to avoid the threads pulling is to have custom jerseys made but not out of the polyester that all the current faves are, a few european teams have done this together with a couple of UK ones.

I can't see why pack manufaucturers don't take a leaf out of outdoors equipment manufacturerers books and use non-snag hook-and loop-closures on their packs. Most of the velcro on gore-tex jackets are now non-snaggging

A short term solution is to go to a fabric store and buy a few yards of velcro. Simply put the loops on the exposed hooks, and away you go, you should be safe from snagging.

In the long term, you can swap packs. Or go find cotton jerseys that won't snag on velcro. But, they fade when you wash 'em, so it's a trade.
