Non-autococking Autococker

My autococker won't autocock(say that thre times fast:D)

Here's the deal:
I just bought a Rat valve, a Shocktech hammer, and a Blade frame recently, and finally got around to putting them all on. I put it all together and started working on the timing. When I got around to adjusting the three-way, I gassed the stupid thing up and PSHHHHHHHHH- air leaks out of the @#$*!%^ barrel. To complicate things a little, when I pull back the cocking rod, everything seals up. I can time it from there, and the timing seems sweet as hell, but if I de-gas the thing and re-gas it without the cocking rod back it still leaks, and won't autocock. I though that the main spring that comes with rat vavle might have been too strong(holding the valve wide open), so I put the stock main spring back in, it doesn't work either.

The same thing has been happening with my original cocker that I've had since 92.

I thought that was just the way that cockers worked. When running on low pressure there is not enough force to push the hammer and spring back and close that valve so the gas takes the route of least resistance and rushes out the barrel, not leaving enough force to recock the gun on its own.

It is your new valve. Lots of aftermarket valves are like that. It is fine, just cock it before you gas it up and you will be fine.

I think that it is the SFL internals that do this. I have just got a westwood cocker with SFL internals and I have to cock it everytime I gas up. After that the thing should work fine.

Thank you

I appreciate everyone's help on this matter. I timed my cocker, and it shoots sweet as hell. I have to get used to cocking it before gassing up- it just seems really weird. But that's why I love these forums.
