ermmm... just a couple of things! 1) Why start a new thread instead of just replying to the old one! 2) Why is nitrogen an illegal propelant? How can it differ from compressed air which is 80% or so N2 anyway?

Thanks for the reply. Perhaps I will give the nitrogen a miss then.

You say that this question has been asked many times before, well I have been playing for fifteen years and didn't know the answer.

Mind you I have only recently been visiting this site.

As far as i am aware nitro is an abbreviation of nitrogen or N2
and yes it is illegal in this country however it can be used in some other countries such as th US but it cannot be used here. so when people refer to N2, Nitro or nitrogen they are probably american and if not there probably refering to compressed air and are confusing the two.

well theres a difference between NO2 Nitrous Oxide and N2 nitrogen, N2 is unreactive wheres NO2 (laughing gas i think) i used a propellant in race cars! No2 is normally reffered to as Nitro, now i am pretty sure of this... but not 100%! If i could be a****d i'd go and check my A lvl chemistry book but i can't! So if im wrong plz say!

Sorry i got it wrong... well one thing anyway... n2o is laughing gas! Not no2, and yes using Nitrogen (N2) is perfectly viable as it is less reactive than Air or Co2!!! :D

Being an old git i remember way back when thay wanted to stop paintball in the uk, and i still have the paperwork from the police
and : section 5 of the fire arms act is any gun that is smooth bore and pump action and gas propelled is illegal.
Now we were still ok to play then so now we don't use pumps i dont see what its got to do with nitrgen.
If you go to a torny and they dont have a compressor they use big n2 bottles the only problem i can see is you may not be allowed to have a bottle at home.
