Searching for the pro-tour....:S
Just a quick one, can you legally use N2 (nitrogen) to power your marker in the UK, or is it only in the US that is is done?

Any one know if it confers any additional benefit over normal compressed air ( which is mostly nitrogen anyway???!!!!)?

Cheers

Ian

Cheers Sean,

I know that they often refer to HPA systems as nitro, but I'm sure I read somewhere that pure nitrogen fills were being used.

Could be wrong, reason for asking was that although it doesn't seem possible to get large air tanks (commercial size, not dive tanks) above 200 bar, i know I can get nitrogen tanks to 300 bar.

Was wondering if they could be used to provide decent fills for gas hungry markers at training days. Either that or the team will be saving their pennies for a Genisis system ( ouch, big money!)

I think probably you are better off Getting some 300bar dive tanks and filling off those,

in the long run it will work out cheaper as they cost £2-3 to fill in a dive shop or with h-pac whereas those big ones cost some $$ to rent as far as i know

I'm not too sure what running nitrogen would do to an air reg and the filters etc, although it may be possible to run Nitrox used by divers to extend their dives?!?

Although to be honest I have no clue, sorry
